DDI Head of Dental Science joins NAF STEM Advisory Committee

On Thursday, May 9, 2024, Joseph Dill, DDS, MBA, Head of Dental Science at the Delta Dental Institute and Chief Dental Officer at the Delta Dental Plans Association, was appointed to NAF’s STEM Advisory Committee. NAF, a national education non-profit that brings schools and businesses together to better prepare students of all backgrounds, developed the committee to address the growing role that STEM now plays in the nation’s economy. It offers opportunities for top STEM leaders to exchange perspectives to better understand industry talent pipeline needs and attract a diverse population to their businesses.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the NAF STEM Advisory Committee and to work with such accomplished and dedicated individuals who believe in the importance of enhancing STEM education in high schools and preparing these students for college and the workforce,” said Dr. Dill. “Delta Dental’s participation ensures oral health remains a focal point in STEM curriculum development across the country.”

The Committee is composed of top executives in leading STEM companies. It meets periodically to share major industry trends and inform NAF’s approach to STEM-enabling strategies in curriculum, work-based learning, advisory board development, college access, and professional development. Committee members also work to build employee engagement programs with a STEM focus and support NAF’s expansion and finances.

NAF is among the inaugural Delta Dental Oral Health Diversity Fund awardees.

NAF’s STEM Advisory Committee Meeting was held in New York City on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
