Our mission

As Head of Dental Science, Joseph Dill, DDS, MBA, brings more than 30 years of experience in the field, including eight years in private dental practice and 16 years in the dental insurance industry. He recently served as vice president of professional services and dental director for Delta Dental of Virginia, where he led the clinical professional services, dental policy, utilization management, fraud and abuse, and quality care areas.

Dr. Dill also spent two years working for the U.S. Public Health Service as a commissioned officer where he provided dental care to residents of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Northern Montana. 

Following eight years in private practice, he founded a start-up medical device company, Otoimage, Inc. to develop a reliable means of diagnosing otitis media in infants and children. He earned his dental degree and bachelor's degree from the University of the Pacific and his masters of business administration from the University of California at Irvine.

Kristen Fischer, MBA, is an accomplished marketing and branding expert who brings brands to life through strategic, creative, and data-driven campaigns. As Director of National Programming and Public Affairs, Kristen oversees marketing strategy and execution for the Delta Dental Institute, leading programmatic and national initiatives that elevate oral health in the nation’s broader healthcare conversation.

With more than 12 years specifically in healthcare marketing, Kristen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to advance the mission of the Institute. Most recently, Kristen was the Marketing Manager for Delta Dental Plans Association, where she managed programs to help grow and elevate the Delta Dental brand nationally. Kristen has previously worked with major healthcare brands, including Northwestern Medicine and Advocate Health Care.

Kristen holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Elmhurst University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Benedictine University, and digital and marketing strategy certificates from Cornell University.
