Delta Dental of Arizona's President and CEO Allan Allford was joined by Arizona state representative Regina Cobb on PBS Arizona to discuss oral health care access in Arizona and potential policy solutions. Allford and Rep. Cobb describe barriers such as lack of education on oral health issues, uneven geographic distribution of dental professionals, and transportation difficulties that are especially prevalent in rural areas. They also speak about ongoing solutions, including charitable clinics supported by the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation and legislative action such as KidsCare, which includes full dental coverage for children between 138% and 200% of the poverty level.
