December 20, 2021 (Louisville, Ky.) — What matters most is helping our Western Kentucky families who are in desperate need of services and financial assistance during this long road to recovery. In addition to the significant $1 million allocation the Delta Dental of Kentucky Foundation is making to nonprofits for their immediate needs, Delta Dental of Kentucky is providing an additional $500,000 in funds earmarked for ongoing relief efforts.
“There is no greater devastation than what we have witnessed within our Western Kentucky communities,” Delta Dental of Kentucky CEO Jude Thompson said. “Those thirteen affected Kentucky counties, and others, are in our thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult road ahead. Delta Dental is honored to help rebuild, in any way we can, the communities who have lost so much.” T
hroughout this time of rebuilding, Delta Dental of Kentucky is here to serve the affected communities by assisting in the reformation of many of our participating providers’ offices through the donation of much-needed care supplies and the continued contribution of financial support. Organizations who will be funded by this contribution include - Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund, Warren County Public Schools Fundraiser, Dawson Springs Family Resource Center, United Way – Bowling Green, Peel and Holland Relief Fund and the Red Cross.
“Our impact is meaningful because of the compounded efforts of similar organizations throughout the state who have also made a significant impact,” Thompson continued. “We’re honored to say that other Delta Dental member companies from across the country have come together to donate $110,000 in support of our great Commonwealth. Thank you all for your generosity towards this much needed cause.”
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delta Dental of Kentucky made a significant monetary contribution in support of dental healthcare providers, their communities, and the Commonwealth. It is a central part of their ongoing mission to provide access to oral healthcare for individuals who might not have otherwise had access to preventative care and treatment.
